Kimberly McCormick

Kim McCormick has recently retired from the Wilmington Area School District after 31 1/2 years.  After many years of classroom teaching, Kim spent the past 14 years as a Reading Specialist and Kindergarten/4th grade music teacher.  Kim lives in the Laurel School District with her husband, Rod.  They have two grown daughters, as well as four precious grandchildren.

At age 13, Kim accepted Christ as her personal Savior.  She is a member of First Baptist Church of New Castle, PA.  It was after Kim's battle with ovarian cancer that she felt called to share her faith journey and become involved in Women's Ministry.  After eight years of cancer remission, Kim is now fighting a second battle to recovery.  All prayer warriors are welcomed to add Kim and her family to their prayer list.  She believes in the power of prayer!

Kim is a Voice of Hope alumni for the American Cancer Society.  She also speaks for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and Stonecroft Ministries.  "Wrapped in His Arms of Love" is Kim's memoir that details her faith journey through ovarian cancer.  Those who read her story say it fills them with hope for their own loved ones dealing with life's trials.  Kim's latest book, "Lessons from Little Kings and Queens" is filled with hilarious stories of her kindergartners, followed by important teachings that are revealed to us through the hearts and minds of these little ones.  All proceeds from Kim's books' sales are donated to the ACS and the NOCC.  Kim loves to meet other women and share her love for Jesus with them!

Kim loves to share her passion for music when visiting women's groups.  Both vocal and flute numbers are enjoyed by all.

You will leave Kim's presentation feeling inspired and motivated to do your own part in making this world a better place for all.
